Job Description

Summary/Objective

The Inside Sales Support Representative handles all sales functions in a professional manner for customers.

 

Essential Functions

  • Be welcoming, helpful, and have a positive attitude to all customers and employees
  • Answer customer calls politely and professionally
  • Work directly with customers to bring in new business and setup accounts
  • Create accurate sales orders
  • Assist Dispatch through delivery process
  • Process cash/credit card payments
  • Work with all departments for quotes and take-offs
  • Assist customers in finding the product(s) that will meet their needs
  • Process transfers
  • Enter material orders per the direction of the Inside Sales Manager
  • Help resolve customer complaints
  • Be available with quick response times during working hours
  • Keep abreast of product information and company processes
  • Any additional tasks assigned by the Inside Sales Manager

 Hours of Work

This is a full-time position.  The employee in this position is paid hourly, and is expected to work the hours necessary to manage the production operations of the organization.

 Physical Demands

The work environment and physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee would encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to work in an office, sitting 90% of day, occasionally outdoors
  • Ability to work on a computer and phone all day
  • Ability to carry/lift up to 50 pounds on occasion
