Job Description:

The Barton Supply Project Manager is responsible for the scope, schedule, and budget of all assigned projects, to manage these tasks in accordance with the project specifications while meeting the needs of the customer, ensuring the success of all internal and external partners, while protecting or enhancing Barton’s budgeted margins, and surpassing our customer’s goals and expectations.


  • Procure all bid documents, correspondence, subcontract/supplier quotes and estimates from Estimating
  • Schedule project kickoff meeting for internal review
  • Review project documents to develop solid understanding of project scope
  • Responsible to obtain a full understanding of project commitments during kickoff including but not limited to the following:

Scope of work

  • Contract Amount
  • Open alternates and VE items
  • Budget
  • Schedule
  • Supplier Purchases
  • Subcontracting requirements
  • Long lead time items
  • Status and completeness of the Design Drawings
  • Both potential and difficult aspects of the project
  • All other commitments to the customer


  • Manage project’s to ensure Barton Supply and its subcontract/vendors meet the scope, schedule and reporting obligations
  • Manage and understand the processes for all cost, scope, pricing and scheduling per requirements of subcontract
  • Create project consolidated/Sequence schedule to include work item description, detail references, finishing and coating requirements and other pertinent
  • Responsible to insure that all required details are provided
  • Coordinate with GC, subcontractors, purchasing and production for buy in on consolidated break out and schedules
  • Maintain consolidated schedule daily to insure all dates and requirements are being met as negotiated during contract negotiations
  • Create and work with relevant parties for all NCR’s on project
  • Review all shop and erection drawings for accuracy
  • Manage all required RFI’s (internal and external)
  • Identify all scope changes caused by ASI’s, RFI’s, Etc
  • Maintain all RFI logs as requiredResponsible to understand project budgetMaintain all projects to stay within budget requirements
  • Coordinate and price all RFC’s as required
  • Maintain all RFC logs as required
  • Responsible to understand all billing requirements and bill project on time each month
